Set in Germany’s picturesque Rheingau wine region, the Rheingau Musik Festival transforms historic landmarks—such as Eberbach Abbey, Schloss Johannisberg, Schloss Vollrads, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, wineries, vineyards, riverboats, and cloisters—into vibrant concert venues each summer from late June to early September. Founded in 1987 by Michael Herrmann, the festival has grown to over 150 performances, including classical symphonies and chamber music, plus jazz, world music, cabaret, readings, cruises, and family events .
